Almost the same number of high school leavers sit the JEE examination for lesser than the number mentioned above of medical seats for admissions into IITs and NITs all over the country!

In Germany, Indian students can study in internationally recognised institutions, universities, technical universities, or universities of applied sciences. At the same time, they live in a cosmopolitan country that respects others time is a better fit for an overall change and become responsible and ready to meet the challenges ahead.

These courses are not academic courses but to help international students maintain a hassle-free stay in Germany. These kinds of studies may not be regular, and attendances are not mandatory.

How to study in Germany for free in English?

As the German taught courses require a C1 level German language proficiency, students need to have the same level in English for the programmes taught in the medium of English.

A test passed certificate in IELTS with an overall score of 6.5 meets the admission requirement for English language skills.

As mentioned before, English taught programmes are in demand worldwide. Therefore, only those who have scored well in their previous bachelor’s degree make it to get admitted.

The international programmes, English taught courses offered at public universities, don’t attract tuition fees in most public universities. Hence one can study in Germany for free in English.

Germany is unique for international students. Comparing Germany to any other country doesn’t make any sense in terms of the quality of education. One will be studying for a degree in a university, not in an affiliated or associate college!

Universities in Germany, especially public-funded, maintain the highest standards, which is at par with top-class universities globally. Learning at German public universities are genuinely innovative and as per the current industrial requirements. A semester of the programme is mainly for an internship for hands-on experience, exposure to the industry, honest work, and experience Germany’s work culture. That helps while applying for a full-time job after studies and other career progressions, including further and research studies. One can choose to study for free up to any level as desired in Germany.

Germany has an international student-friendly law, and that stands for the welfare and protection of international students. It has been made by entitling international students to work for a limited period, every year while studying in Germany. International students don’t need to pay tax while earning up to a particular amount. The law supports and protects them through the job seeker’s visa if they need more time to find a job and settle in Germany.

Above all, international students can apply for a permanent residence permit after working for two years in Germany, which is not the same in any other country in the world now.

Most importantly and distinctly, the Skilled immigration Act of 2020, March, permits international students to switch to work from study or Ausbildung. Provided they receive an offer from a registered employer in Germany who finds the required skill sets of the job match the student’s skills!

Living in Germany is affordable for many compared to the other countries famous for higher studies. One can find a room for two hundred to two hundred and fifty euros in a Tier 2/3 city. The exact amount of money for other costs of living, including food and transport. They are totalling four hundred euros. So for the safe side, five hundred Euros make sense at the highest rate. Therefore the answer is that living in Germany is not expensive but affordable.

Whereas German immigration advises, international students, have at least 861 EUR in their position to meet the monthly expenses, including their accommodation, food and other living expenses. The department is correct in the case of those who live in the big cities like Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt Etc.

Students familiar with the locality and who speak German earn enough to maintain their expenses by working part-time while on their full-time studies later the year. In addition to making little money, working part-time international students prepare themselves for better jobs immediately after their course. Therefore the immigration looks for only one-year funds while processing their initial visa application at the German consulate in their home country.
