The first step you need to do is, of course, know where your dream study destination is. You can see this study on the Internet or social media by looking at photos of friends who study abroad. They might be studying either in Europe or America, trendy study destinations. However, it may not be necessary to focus on these study destinations. You can look in a study destination that is not common, still studying in an international study atmosphere and enjoying being in that location.

The second step you need to do is take the language into account. Suppose your dream study destination is the united states of America or any other English speaking country. In that case, there’s no problem because the medium of instruction in the universities and colleges would be English. However, suppose your study destination is not an English speaking country. In that case, you should start learning the language of the study destination at least six months before leaving. But not to worry about it! Because many online study tools can help you know faster and easier.

The third step is to decide whether you need a study abroad consultant’s services or not? Suppose you think you are capable and have enough time to spend researching. In that case, you may do it independently without any consultant’s help.

The fourth Step is in case you decide to go with an agent or a study consultant. An agent of a particular university or a country could be a specialist for the university they represent or the study destination country he promotes. But a consultant works as per their client’s interest and plans, keeping the client’s broad background in mind.

The fifth step must include preparing documents to apply to study abroad. You will probably need about ten papers to use for a study abroad. These documents are not complicated, but they’re necessary if you want to study destinations in Europe or America. However, it depends on the study destination you choose!

The sixth step is organising the necessary funds required for your study abroad plan. You might also need to have an account open in a local bank in the country chosen. Banks in many countries extend the facilities for students opening their bank accounts while they are in their home country. But in many countries, you may open your local bank account after your arrival and initially settle down.

The seventh step is easy – book your flight and the necessary post-arrival services. You should take it very seriously and make the bookings much in advance to avoid last-minute complications. That can also prevent unnecessary tension and make your journey enjoyable.

The eighth step will require you to get your visa at least 12 weeks before your course start date. Visa application processing takes more time at the consulates and immigration offices of many countries. There should be enough time to provide clarifications and further supporting documents if you are asked to provide them while your visa application is under process.

The ninth step is packing for study abroad. You only need the right basic things because you can buy most of them at your study destination! However, suppose you are going to study in a country in Europe. In that case, you should pack warm clothes because it may be too cold.

The tenth step will take you to study abroad! As soon as you arrive the best thing is to explore the local area and discover the country’s local culture where you will spend some of the best years of your life.
