Engineering And Technical Courses

Engineering & Technical Courses

“Engineers should feel inspired by the notion that it’s possible to make everything better. I think curiosity is crucial. Also, a certain amount of impatience and the willingness to question the status quo. But above all, prospective engineers should enjoy solving technical problems by themselves.” Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ernst Michael Schmachtenberg.

There is an ever-growing demand for engineers and technicians in countries like the USA, UK, Germany, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and many other European Union countries. You need to be graduated qualified and skill-full from an institute, which can prepare you to be creative and innovative. Engineering is considered a well-respected position in these countries, and thus Engineers are well paid too.

Generally, a bachelor’s degree engineering course is 4 years, but most universities in the UK offer it in three years. A 4-year engineering course in the UK gives a master’s degree directly.

The USA and the UK top all other countries for engineering and technical studies as all the top 5 universities in this category are still from these two countries.

  • Stamford university
  • Harvard University
  • California technical institute
  • Cambridge University
  • Oxford University

Many other universities and institutions in these countries offer quality education in engineering and technical subjects, without much difficulty in getting admission and which is also economically viable.

At the end of the day, what you learn is important in this highly competitive world, not from where you learned.

GERMANY

GERMANY, the black horse in engineering and technology, is the leading exporter of machinery and industrial equipment across the world. German industry’s precision making, function, and power are tested and acknowledged worldwide.

Germany’s engineers are renowned for their leadership in innovation, expertise, and dedication.

Germany’s state-funded universities, 200 technical institutes, and 100+ universities of applied sciences are the backbone of the German industries. These institutions produce thousands of qualified and highly talented Engineers and technical graduates for the German industries every year.

Education is tuition fees-free, even for international students, in almost all these universities.

Automation, mechanical engineering, and information technology (IT) tops the field of studies in German Universities. However, mechatronics is the most popular engineering stream in Germany nowadays, and it may be because of the combination of mechanical and electrical engineering with computer science.

Germany’s technology-driven companies need engineers in all sectors. Job prospects are very good for those with a German university degree, especially in any below subjects.

  • civil engineering
  • Structural engineering.
  • Computer science engineering.
  • Mechanical engineering.
  • Electrical engineering.
  • Automotive engineering.
  • Telecommunications.

USA

US universities are known for STEM ( Science, Technical, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects among the student community worldwide. To make it more attractive, international students are permitted to work for a maximum of three years after the course, towards getting practical training under the OPT (optional practical training) scheme. At the same time, non-STEM subject graduates can work for only one year under OPT.

You may be required to have at least 50,000—$ minimum to complete a course in a college or university in the USA.

CANADA

Canada has top-rated universities offering bachelor’s and master’s degree courses in various subjects in Engineering and technology. International students here are entitled to work for three years after the course completion. This is an open invitation to stay back, work, gain experience, and qualify to process your application for a permanent residency permit.

You should be able to spend at least an amount of 50,000 – 75,000.CAD in a Canadian University or a college.

THE UNITED KINGDOM (UK)

The UK is literally known as the country of excellence for higher education. A major part of the world’s best universities is based in the UK. Scholars from around the world work research in UK Universities.

Short-duration courses are the specialty of UK Universities. You can complete a bachelor’s degree course in three years and a Master’s in just one year. To make it more attractive, some master’s courses in some universities are offered 24 months, including a work placement for 10-12 months.

The re-introduction of the Post Study Work (PSW) visa for two years makes the UK more attractive again.

Studying in the UK is not very expensive now, the average course fee is 10,000 pounds per year, Bachelor’s and Master’s alike.
