BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN PHYSICAL THERAPY IN GERMANY

Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in Germany is an eight-semester course that begins in the winter. 

Students will gain professional experience as they study with future nurses, midwives, occupational therapists, and emergency paramedics.

Physical therapy has two sections: the student will become a physiotherapist at the end of the sixth semester and an academic graduate by the end of the course.

1600 hrs of practical assignments (during the physiotherapy course) have to be completed to become a physiotherapist. 

The first two semesters cover the basics of physiotherapeutic care, therapy science fundamentals, and musculoskeletal system. The next two semesters focus on the musculoskeletal system, economic and legal, and field of action in the early life phase.

The fifth and sixth semesters focus on internal organ systems, late phase of life and chronic diseases, and a deepening of previously learnt topics. The final year will conclude with elective modules and a bachelor’s thesis.
